Norwich (H)
Not so much a must win as a must not lose. This is our worst run of form with Allardyce as manager, yet we still have not had three defeats in a row. Norwich have lost their last three matches....

Thank you Fred, if Jarvis's game relies so much on others then that makes him one dimensional.

Given BFS's view of the fundamental importance of set-pieces, I'm not sure he wouldn't regard 'loads of corners' as a perfectly adequate contribution.

I agree PP suits the system perfectly, and job done so to speak. But that doesn't mean Jarvis is a great player though. He's doing his job. Just goes to show 11mil doesn't get you much these days.

No, he's not a great player, you're right. Rather disappointing for £11m so far. The occasional game has suggested there might be more to come, but that's it so far.

He wasn't 11m though was he? And Monk, I find it hard to see how just big a fan you were of Ethers, but so down on Jarvis? Apart from a gambling problem there aren't too many major differences. Sure,...

Taylforth sounded like the thick bloke who drinks in my local. It didn't seem right to have that voice coming out of that face. Toadfish to win.

Jarvis is easily the superior crosser and he can do it with both feet. Etherington's crosses were hit and miss and he was much more one footed. Quicker & scores more? Yes. More...

I always thought Etherington (Monk aside) got unfair criticism on here - he created and scored a lot of goals for us - and he certainly didn't work any less off the ball than Jarvis does (which is my...

The exclamation mark gives you away Clack. Homophobic, no need for it, just because Jarvis is gay doesn 't make him any less of a footballer or a person. You need to get in the 21st century and quick....

Etherington plays in the only team in the league that can accomodate his cowardice: Stoke City, where every other player is a footballing thug.
